She was saying how remarkable your spiritual maturity. You've grown by leaps and bounds in your understanding of who God is and how much He loves you in the past couple of years. I have been dwelling on that word picture of a scale with two hanging weights. On the left, momentary afflictions. (Though momentary may span 70 years or so on earth, it's still momentary.) ON the right, God's glory. Eternal. Always outweighs the momentary. The picture I have in my mind, though, has the scale turned 45 degrees toward you with a light on it. The affliction is up close and well-lit. The eternal weight of glory is behind it, in the shadow. Your post clearly shows me that you have decided to turn the scale yet another 45 degrees so that you can glimpse the eternal weight in the light of God's Truth. Wow. Thank you!!Zoannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07119513647613843627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13726416.post-1159374936689066152006-09-27T12:35:00.000-04:002006-09-27T12:35:00.000-04:00I too am praying for you Briana. I can't fathom your trial but have been learning through the Word that "through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God" (Acts14:22) and 1Peter4:12"beloved, do not be suprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you." 1Peter1:6-7"..you've been grieved by various trials so the tested genuineness of your faith-more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire-may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ." Love you, my friend!peghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16723208704211908736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13726416.post-1158949365175859922006-09-22T14:22:00.000-04:002006-09-22T14:22:00.000-04:00Brianna,Chronic Sorrow is a title I can relate to....Brianna,<BR/>Chronic Sorrow is a title I can relate to. It catches you off guard, but I think revisiting the sorrow over time helps to embed God's truths deeper into our souls each time. Your blog has been such a blessing to me. I was just telling Zo this morning how amazed I am and blessed by your spiritual maturity. Thank you for reminding me often of God's truths that encourage me in our journey with our Todd. How many pity parties did I have when Todd was young. Praise God for bringing us to churches with sound doctrine and for people who are walking the walk and such an encouragement to me as you are. I pray for Judah and your family often. Thanks so much for sharing...Sandyshelahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00701796616375705265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13726416.post-1158897048503536682006-09-21T23:50:00.000-04:002006-09-21T23:50:00.000-04:00Bri,Wow! I am also finding myself stuggling with the daily peace, joy and confidence of His goodness in my life. Thank you for sharing your heart and for being so humble. You are forever in our prayers. I am praying for you and know what you are experiencing...truly, I believe that is what "misery loves company" means. We don't desire another's misery, but there is a kindred spirit in suffering. Truly you are experiencing the fellowship of Christ's sufferings...and it is to be cried over. Thank you for sharing...GretchenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13726416.post-1158829453483187612006-09-21T05:04:00.000-04:002006-09-21T05:04:00.000-04:00Praying for you today! -- Love, JenPraying for you today! -- Love, JenJen Clemmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09896377535961128173noreply@blogger.com
